
This super healthy smoothie tastes a lot like a rich dessert but it’s good for you! A great way to start the morning or …. why not skip the crappy evening snack and indulge in this fruity choc smoothie for a healthy after dinner dessert.
Ingredients:
1 Ripe Frozen Banana (See notes if you are using fresh)
1 Cup Coconut milk (See notes)
1 Heaped tbsp. Cocoa powder
1 Cup Frozen strawberries (See notes if you are using fresh)
1 tsp Honey (Optional)
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until thick and smooth
2. Pour into glasses and serve
Notes:
1. If you are using fresh fruit, then add a handful of ice to the blender.
2. You can use any milk base if you want to replace the coconut milk. For a milder coconut milk, simply mix 1 part coconut milk to 1 part water.
3. Add a couple spoons of superfood greens if you want to sneak an extra dose of nutrients and vitamins in for the kids.
